Tulsa’s Strimple Announces Her First Signing Class as Four Sign Softball National Letters-of-Intent

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa first-year head softball coach Crissy Strimple announced today the signing of four student-athletes to national letters-of-intent.
 
Kennedy Cramer, Imani Edwards, Sage Harlow and Kylee Nash, each of whom hit for over .400 in their prep careers, will join the program for the 2021 season.
 
 "We're excited to welcome the 2020 class to Tulsa," Strimple said.  "Our goal continues to be bringing in athletically versatile student-athletes who have a true passion for the game of softball.  Sage, Kylee, Imani and Kennedy meet that mark, and will help continue the championship mentality that previous classes established."
 
In addition to being outstanding athletes, the four signees embody our team's culture of academic hard work and desire to compete at a high level.  The future of our softball program is in good hands with these ladies," added Strimple

Cramer, a three-year letterwinner and 5'8" centerfielder from Pryor (Okla.) High School, helped her team post a 133-28 mark in four seasons, as well as finish as the state champions as a freshman and state runner-up as a junior.  Cramer had a career .424 batting average, a .489 on base percentage, 127 RBI, 158 runs scored, 198 hits, 13 home runs, 46 stolen bases and a career 1.000 fielding percentage as she recorded no errors. 
 
A four-year all-district selection, Cramer was named the Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and earned District Player of the Year honors as a senior. She was also tabbed to the all-region and all-state teams her senior campaign. 
 
Cramer also lettered four years in golf, three times in track, once in basketball and once as a member of the dance team at PHS.
 
"Kennedy is an Oklahoma native and we are excited to have her stay home and play for Tulsa," said Strimple.  "She possessed a unique combination of speed and power on the right-hand side of the plate.  Her athletic ability and arm talent will be fun to watch in the outfield."
 
57152A three-year letterwinner and 5'6" shortstop from Tomball (Texas) High School, Edwards notched a .495 batting average and a .995 field percentage during her junior season.  She also hit .426 as a freshman and .463 as a sophomore.  Edwards was named first-team all-district as a sophomore and junior and picked up all-state accolades last season.  
 
"Imani is an athletic lefty who can play anywhere on the field," Strimple said.  "She plays the game with a fire and passion that we are excited to have as part of our team."
 
Harlow, a three-year letterwinner and 5'6" third baseman at Whitewright (Texas) High School, led her team to 47 wins in the last three seasons, including a 21-6 mark last year.  She has totaled 98 RBI and 20 home runs in her first three years. Harlow totaled a .525 batting average with 43 RBI and seven home runs as a junior.

A two-time Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) all-state selection and first-team all-Texomaland honoree, Harlow also earned Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) all-state accolades as a freshman.
 
"Sage is a right-handed hitting infielder who will add power to our line-up," Strimple said.  "She is a competitor at the plate who looks to do damage.  We are excited to add her talents to our team."
 
A pitcher from Three Rivers (Mich.) High School, Nash helped her team post a 61-15 mark as a freshman and sophomore, but missed her junior season due to injury.  As a freshman, she recorded a .414 batting average and a 1.797 ERA in 160 innings pitched. Nash hit .563 and had a 0.766 ERA in 182 innings as a sophomore.
 
Thr 5'6" Nash was a two-time all-district and all-conference honoree and picked up all-region and all-state accolades her sophomore season.

"Kylee is a right-handed pitcher with power on the mound and the plate," said Strimple.  "At Tulsa, we have been fortunate to have a rich tradition in the circle and are thrilled to add her talents to our pitching staff."
