Neal Earns Second Straight Conference Player of the Week Honor

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Senior infielder Morgan Neal was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the second week in a row, the league office announced on Monday.
Neal helped Tulsa to a 3-1 record on the week, which included a win over No. 21 Oklahoma State and a series win at preseason conference favorite USF. The Springdale, Ark., native hit .467 with two runs scored, a double, triple, stolen base and three RBIs.
She posted three multi-hit games in the series at USF over the weekend. In game two of the series, Neal tied a season high with three hits, while she scored two runs and drove in a pair. Neal tripled in that contest and recorded two more hits, including her team-leading 11th double of the season in the series finale.
Neal also earned conference Player of the Week honors on March 18 after she hit .389 during a 5-0 week for Tulsa.
The Golden Hurricane (21-9) will return to the diamond for a matchup with No. 2 Oklahoma on Wednesday, March 27 in Norman, Okla.
