Tulsa Softball Earns ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 Ranking

OKLAHOMA CITY — The University of Tulsa softball team returned to the polls this week, earning the No. 25 ranking in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 released on Tuesday. It is the first ranking for TU in the poll since the end of the 2017 season.
 
The Golden Hurricane enter the week with a 31-15 overall record and sit second in the American Athletic Conference standings at 12-3. The squad is coming off a three-game series sweep of UCF and will host Wichita State this weekend, April 26-28, in the final home series of the spring.
 
TU received votes in the ESPN.com/USA Softball preseason poll and have received votes for the last four weeks before breaking through at No. 25 this week. The Hurricane ended the 2017 season ranked No. 23 after finishing with a 41-17 overall record and American Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles.
 
First pitch between the Hurricane and Shockers is set for 7 p.m. on Friday, April 26 from Collins Family Softball Complex. The game will be shown to a national audience on ESPNU.
