THE STORYLINES . . .
•   Tulsa is in its 120th season of football this year, as college football celebrates its 150th year.
•   Tulsa has the smallest FBS enrollment with 3,297 undergraduate students, while Wyoming has an enrollment of 12,397.
•   Wyoming allows the opposition only 85.7 yards rushing per game to rank 22nd nationally, while Tulsa's offense averages 113.7 yards on the ground to rank 108th.
•   The Wyoming offense averages 245.3 rushing yards per game, while Tulsa's defense allows 186.7 yards rushing per game.
•   Tulsa has passed for an average of 224.5 yards per game, while Wyoming has allowed 342.3 passing yards to rank 128th nationally.
•   Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl spent two seasons at Tulsa as linebacker coach under head coach Don Morton in 1985-86.

•   This is the 6th meeting between Tulsa and Wyoming.
•   Wyoming leads the series 3-2 … the Cowboys won the first 3 meetings of the series, while Tulsa has won the last 2 games.

•   When the teams met last (1998), they were both members together in the Western Athletic Conference.

•   Tulsa has seven 2018 bowl participants on its 2019 schedule –– Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Cincinnati, Memphis, Tulane, UCF and Houston.

•   Tulsa's defense had three 4th down stops within its own 30-yard line in the first 6 quarters this year – twice at Michigan State and once at San Jose State.
 
BROOKS GOES FOR TWO STRAIGHT 100+ GAMES . . .
•  Shamari Brooks has had back-to-back 100+ rushing games, giving him 10 career 100+ rushing games.
•  He had 140 yards on 29 carries at San Jose State in the second game of the year, and then last week had 107 yards  and 2 TDs on 29 carries vs. Oklahoma State.
•  After a zero-rushing output on 6 carries against Michigan State, the #1-ranked returning run defense in 2018, Brooks has averaged 123.5 yards over the last 2  games.
•  Brooks now has 20 career rushing TDs to rank 11th on the school's career chart.
 
TREVIS . . .
•   Senior defensive end Trevis Gipson has been effective in creating lost yardage plays by opposing offenses.
•   Of his 12 tackles this year, Gipson has 4.5 TFLs for -23 yards, including 2 sacks for -16 yards.
•   Gipson was a menace for the Michigan State offense in the season opener, putting pressure on the Spartans quarterback throughout the night.
•   Among Gipson's 4 tackles in that game, he totaled 2 TFLs for -10 yards, one sack for -10 yards and was credited with 2 QB hurries.
•   A week later, he had 4 tackles, 2.5 TFLs for -13 yards and one sack for -9 yards at San Jose State.
•   Gipson has 6 career forced fumbles to rank 11th for NCAA active career leaders.
 
BACK-TO-BACK 100-YARD RECEIVERS . . .
•   For the first time since 2016, Tulsa has had consecutive games with a 100-yard plus receiver.
•   Sam Crawford, Jr. had 9 catches for 137 yards and one touchdown at San Jose State and a week later Keylon Stokes had 7 receptions for 109 yards and one TD vs. Oklahoma State.
 
STOKES CLOSING IN ON 1,000 YARDS . . .
•  Junior Keylon Stokes had his second career 100-yard receiving game in the last 4 games, dating back to the 2018 season finale, when he had 109 yards on 7 receptions against Oklahoma State last week.
•  He now has 209 yards on 15 receptions in 3 games this year.
•  Stokes has 927 career receiving yards in 24 games and needs 73 more yards to reach the 1,000-yard plateau.
