Perry Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

TULSA, Okla. – The American Athletic Conference named senior third basemen Alexis Perry to the Weekly Honor Roll for her play against Louisiana Tech, it was announced today.
Perry thrived in her 8 at bats during the series, connecting on 4 hits and walking twice for a .667 batting average against the Lady Techsters.
The third basemen record 4 RBIs and scored twice herself, coming out of the weekend with a 1.167 slugging percentage and a .750 on base percentage.
The Oklahoma City native started the scoring off for Tulsa in the series finale Sunday by launching a home run over the left field fence, giving the Hurricane a 3-0 lead.
In the field she was as dominant as she was at the place, putting in a 1.000 fielding percentage and recording 5 assists.
Perry's award is the fourth by a Hurricane this season. Samantha Pochop was named Pitcher of the Week on March 22, while Haley Morgan was named Player of the Week on March 8. Chenise Delce also was selected to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll on March 8 for her pitching in the OSU/TU Tournament.
The Hurricane starts conference play on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. against the UCF Knights at the Collins Family Softball Complex.
