Norwood Selected to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll for the 3rd Time

TULSA, Okla. – Kylie Norwood was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll after leading the Hurricane from the plate in last weekend's series against the RV Wichita State Shockers, it was announced today.
Norwood was vital for the Hurricane from the plate, putting in a .533 batting average with 8 hits in 15 at bats for TU. She recorded three extra base hits with two doubles and a solo home run in Sunday's 10-6 win.
The second baseman was second on the team in runs batted in with 4 and led the team scoring 4 times herself. She had a team-high .867 slugging percentage and was on base 53.3-percent on her at bats.
The honor is the 12th time that a Hurricane has received American Athletic Conference weekly honors. Norwood (May 3, Apr. 5 and Apr. 26) joins Chenise Delce (March 8, Apr. 5 and Apr. 26), Samantha Pochop (Apr. 12 and Apr. 19) and Alexis Perry (March 29) as Hurricane players named to the Honor Roll.
Perry received Player of the Week honors on Apr. 19, as Haley Morgan (March 8) was named Player of the Week after her performance during the OSU/TU Tournament. Perry, Morgan and Pochop are the only Hurricane to be selected for Player of the Week awards this season.
