TULSA, Okla. –– The Golden Hurricane will take on Colorado State on Saturday, Dec. 18 as part of the Hoops Hype XL | College Basketball Showcase at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The game was originally scheduled for the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo. Houston and Oklahoma State will play following the conclusion of the first game.
This is one of two games Tulsa will play in the U-Sports Group signature collection of sporting events this winter. Three days later the Hurricane face North Texas at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. as part of the Compete 4 Cause Classic. Oklahoma State and Southern Cal will provide the nightcap for that event.
This will be the seventh matchup between the Hurricane and Rams, with the series tied 3-3. The pair last met in 2019 at the BOK Classic, where Tulsa fell just short, 111-104, in a wild triple-overtime game which saw 21 ties and 25 lead changes. Jeriah Horne paced the Hurricane with a career-high 28 points, and five threes, including a clutch shot to send the game to overtime with 0:13 remaining in regulation. Darien Jackson also had 12 points in the matchup.
