Tulsa Men’s Basketball Participate in American Athletic Conference Media Day

TULSA, Okla. –– The American Athletic Conference held virtual media day for men's and women's basketball on Wednesday and Thursday with the Tulsa teams participating on Thursday afternoon.

Tulsa first year head coach Eric Konkol went first, and then returning junior Sam Griffin and newcomer Brandon Betson represented the Hurricane men.
Griffin was second on the team in scoring a season ago, averaging 14.6 points per game to go along with 1.9 assists per contest. Betson joins the Golden Hurricane after transferring from Chicago State. He averaged 14.2 points and 2.8 assists to lead the team and was a second team all-WAC selection.
Tulsa will open the season on Nov. 7 on the road at Oregon State before hosting Jackson State in the home opener on Nov. 12. Tipoff for the season opener is 11 p.m. and 2 p.m. for the first game of the Konkol era in the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
