The Tulsa women's soccer team dropped a 3-2 decision to UCF on Sunday afternoon at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.  The Golden Hurricane fell to 7-5-3 on the season and 2-2-2 in American Athletic Conference play, while the Knights moved to 6-2-4 overall and remained undefeated and on top of the league standings with a 4-0-1 record.

"We scored early, which was great, but then went down 2-1 going into halftime," Head Coach Jim Rhein said.  "A past team at TU could have gone on to lose 5-1, but this team fights.  They know what their responsibilities are, they fought for each other and got back into the game 2-2.  I couldn't be any prouder of this group.  The result isn't what we wanted because this team deserves something out of this game, but I'm not disappointed in them because I know they gave their all."

Tulsa will return to action on Thursday, October 20 against Memphis beginning at 7:00 pm in Memphis, Tenn.

How it Happened
Madison Tokarchik put Tulsa on the board with just 5:15 ticked off the clock as she headed in a score from six yards out off a cross from Grayson Schimmels

Kristen Scott evened the score in the 23rd minute off a pass from Dayana Martin, and then the duo reversed rolls as Martin put the Knights up 2-1 in the 28th minute.  UCF maintained the lead at the break.

Isold Runarsdottir evened the score at 2-2 in the 52nd minute as she headed in a goal from 12 yards out of a combination from Karsen Aguirre to Grayson Schimmels.

Scott scored the game-winning goal for UCF in the 60th minute as she one-timed the ball into the back of the net from three yards out off a cross from Martin.
