Tulsa Men’s Basketball Coach Eric Konkol Met with Media on Tuesday for Media Day

Golden Hurricane announce season promotions
TULSA, Okla. –– Tulsa head basketball coach Eric Konkol participated in media day on Tuesday in the Donald W. Reynolds Center to discuss the upcoming season of Golden Hurricane basketball.
Konkol is preparing for his first season as the head coach of the place where he got his coaching start. His inaugural team will include eight returners from the 2021-22 campaign alongside five fresh faces.
Sam Griffin was second on the team in scoring a season ago, averaging 14.6 points per game to go along with 1.9 assists per contest. Also returning is point guard Anthony Pritchard. His season was cut short due to injury, but still managed to lead the team with 80 assists.
Newcomer Brandon Betson joins the Golden Hurricane after transferring from Chicago State. He averaged 14.2 points and 2.8 assists to lead the team and was a second team all-WAC selection.
Tulsa will open its season on Nov. 7 at Oregon State before returning to the Reynolds Center for the home opener against Jackson State on the 12th. Tipoff for the season opener is set for 11 p.m. with a 2 p.m. tip against Jackson State.
The Hurricane also announced its promotions for the men's season with highlights including All-Star Stunt Dogs, Simon Sez, Red Panda Acrobat and The Amazing Sladek.

- Season tickets start at $99
- Fans can purchase a 5-game mini plan for as low as $39 and include tickets to Oral Roberts (12/3), Houston (12/28), Tulane (1/21), Wichita State (2/5) and UCF (2/26).
- The 4-game flex pass is another multi-game plan and includes four tickets in sections 102 and 117 to any four home basketball games.
- Groups of 15 or more can purchase tickets for as low as $5, and depending on the group size, can add on experiences including videoboard recognition, fan tunnel, on-court photo, anthem buddies, bench warmers and postgame meet and greet
