Three Tulsa Women’s Soccer Players Named to Academic All-District First Team

Emily Brandenburg, Liliana Fernandez and Madison Tokarchik were named to the 2022 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team as selected by the College Sports Communicators. This honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
A senior defender from Spring, Texas, Brandenburg has a 3.901 GPA in exercise and sports science. She tallied one goal for two points and attempted eight shots, five of which were on goal, this past year.
Fernandez, a senior defender from Niceville, Fla., maintains a 3.584 GPA in management. She had one goal and a team-high four assists on the season.
A junior defender from Tulsa, Okla., Tokarchik has a 3.788 GPA in nursing. She tallied a team-leading five goals and added one assist for 11 points, the third most on the team.
The women's trio were instrumental in the team's seven clean sheets.
The Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot and the honorees will be announced in early December.
