Tulsa Football Back on the Practice Field

COACH MONTGOMERY INTERVIEW

TULSA, Okla. –– After a week off for Spring Break, the Tulsa football team returned to the practice field this week in continuation of spring drills. The Golden Hurricane was back on the field for practice No. 6 on Tuesday and No. 7 on Thursday.

"I like the way we're coming together," said Montgomery. "We have a lot of key pieces back, but a lot of young faces in there. It's a learning process right now, but that's what spring ball is all about. It's an opportunity for those guys to get reps and see lot of different things.

"On Thursday, the defense brought a lot of pressure and a lot of different blitzes, and offensively we'll have to catch up to that."

Even after the week off, Montgomery has continued to see positive strides the Golden Hurricane team has taken.

"We trying to get better every day, little steps or big steps," added Montgomery. "We just have to continue to keep taking those steps forward, and I've been proud of our team doing that."

Tulsa will be back on the practice field Saturday morning.
