Tulsa’s Konkol Adds Director of Scouting

TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa Head Basketball Coach Eric Konkol announced today that Allen Massey will join the Golden Hurricane basketball program as the director of scouting.
Massey comes to Tulsa after one year as the video coordinator at Longwood University. He was part of a program that advanced to the school's first NCAA Tournament in 2021-22.
Previously, he spent two seasons on Konkol's staff at LA Tech as a graduate assistant for the men's basketball program. He worked primarily as the director of scouting and video for the Bulldogs while earning his master's degree in business administration in 2021.
"I'm very excited to have Allen join us at Tulsa. I was able to see his commitment, passion and productivity first-hand when he was a graduate manager for us at Louisiana Tech. This past year he helped elevate Longwood University to their best season in school history. His experience, not only in the position, but also with our coaching staff will be extremely valuable," said Konkol.
A native of Galesburg, Illinois, Massey attended Drake University, where he was the head manager for the men's basketball team for four seasons. His responsibilities included organizing and breaking down film, as well as assisting with many parts of the behind-the-scenes operation of the basketball program.
Massey earned his bachelor's degree in business marketing at Drake in 2019.
