Eight Golden Hurricane Softball Players Earn EASTON/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete Honors

TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa softball team had eight players named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes for their work in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.
"I am so proud of our SA's achieving highly in their coursework," Tulsa head coach Crissy Strimple said. "Our girls juggle a tough travel schedule along with the challenge of TU academics, and they continue to do so with high marks academically and athletically."
Haley Morgan, Abby Jones, Gracie Jarvis, Imani Edwards, Rylee Keith, Samantha Pochop, Kylie Norwood and Danielle Burns all earned the honor, which recognizes softball student athletes who achieve a 3.5 or better GPA for a single academic year. Six of the eight athletes were regular starters for the Golden Hurricane this past season and many were players the others on the team looked up to.
"We aim to bring in players who are determined athletically and academically," Strimple said. "Seeing our team leaders have high success in the classroom sets a great example for their teammates and for future players in our program."
