
Tulsa’s Jordan Frederick Named The American Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week; Quinn Turner Tabbed to Honor Roll

Tulsa freshman Jordan Frederick was named the American Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week, as announced today by the league office, while Quinn Turner was tabbed to the Honor Roll.
The duo led Tulsa to a 7-0 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff last week, combining for five goals and four assists in the contest.
A freshman forward from Bixby, Okla., Frederick came in for 32 minutes against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, had four shots, three of which were on goal, two goals and two assists. Frederick scored the fifth and seventh goals in the 66th and 70th minutes, and assisted on the fourth and sixth goals. This was Frederick's first two career goals.
In just 44 minutes of play, Turner, a sophomore forward from Tulsa, Okla., scored a hat trick. She had four shots, all of which were on goal, three goals and two assists against the Lady Golden Lions. Turner had the game-winner in the 38th minute and added goals in the 45th and 53rd minutes. She also had assists on the second and fifth goals of the contest.
Turner's hat trick was the first for TU since Claire Nicholson had one against Nicholls State on August 26, 2012, and the 17th in program history.
Tulsa will return to action on Thursday, September 15 against Temple beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
