PJ Haggerty Collects Fourth Conference Freshman of the Week Award

TULSA, Okla. –– Tulsa guard PJ Haggerty was named the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday morning. It is his fourth time this season to receive the honor.
In wins over Mississippi Valley State and New Mexico State last week, Haggerty averaged 15.5 points, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals. The freshman shot 17-of-19 (89.5) from the free throw line and turned it over just four times in two games. Haggerty scored 23 points to lead the Golden Hurricane in its comeback win against New Mexico State on Friday.
The Hurricane closes its nonconference schedule with a home game against Southwestern Oklahoma State on Friday evening. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. in the Donald W. Reynolds Center and will air on ESPN+.
