TULSA, Okla. –– The culmination of Hall of Fame Weekend was the induction of the 34th Athletic Hall of Fame Class at The University of Tulsa on Saturday, April 29, at the Lorton Performance Center on the TU campus.
 
This year's group of inductees included four All-Americans, one NFL head coach and the last undefeated team in school history.

The four All-Americans included volleyball athlete Tyler Henderson, track and cross-country star Alex Becker, tennis' Arnau Brugues and football punter Rick Engles. Former Tulsa football standout Ray Rhodes, who later served as head coach of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, was the fifth individual inductee in the class of 2023.
 
The 1922 Undefeated Football Team was this year's Honor Team.
 
This year's Honor Team was the 1922 Football Team, which is the last Tulsa football team to go undefeated and untied in a season with an 8-0-0 record while winning the Oklahoma Collegiate Conference

Alex Becker (Women's cross country & track, 2005-10) was a 12-time letterwinner, six-time All-American, eight-time conference USA individual champion and a 16-time all-conference selection. She was an Academic All-American as a senior and was named to the Conference all-academic team four years.

Arnau Brugues (Tennis, 2005-09) was a four-time All-American and four-time Conference USA Player of the Year. He won a school record 116 singles matches and made four NCAA Singles Championship appearances, while as a senior he was ranked No. 1 in the country for five weeks.

An All-America punter, Rick Engles (Football, 1972-75) averaged a career 40.5 yards punting in his three seasons. He was on three Missouri Valley Conference championship teams, while earning 1975 All-America and all-conference merits. He was a third-round draft choice of the Seattle Seahawks and also spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles.

Tyler Henderson (Volleyball, 2009-12) was the first-ever Tulsa volleyball player to earn All-America first- or second-team honors, winning second-team All-America accolades for three straight seasons. She was a four-time All-Midwest Region and All-Conference selection, while earning Conference USA Player of the Year honors three times after being named the C-USA Freshman of the Year in her first season.

A tailback, receiver and kick returner at Tulsa, Ray Rhodes (Football, 1972-73) had a seven-year NFL career with the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers before entering the NFL coaching ranks. He was a longtime NFL assistant coach winning 5 Super Bowl Rings with the 49ers before becoming the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers.
