Tulsa Hosts #4 Oklahoma State Tuesday, Central Arkansas Wednesday

TULSA, Okla. – The Golden Hurricane softball team returns to action in a pair of midweek games in the Collins Family Softball Complex, hosting No. 4 Oklahoma State on Tuesday before welcoming Central Arkansas Wednesday.
Both games have a 5 p.m. start time. Tuesday's action against OSU will air on ESPN+ with Bruce Howard and John Holcomb on the call. Michelle Montaine will work as a sideline analyst for the action. Wednesday's game will stream through the TulsaHurricane.com website.
Tuesday's matchup with Oklahoma State is officially a sellout.
The Cowgirls bring a 24-3 record, 5-1 in the Big XII to Tulsa. OSU is riding a five-game winning streak that includes an 8-0 five-inning win over Central Arkansas and a series sweep against UCF. The Bears are on the other end of the stick, falling in four straight and sitting at 8-19, 0-3 in the ASUN this season.
Tulsa wrapped up a 3-1 week with a win over South Florida on Sunday to win the Series two games to one against the Bulls. The Hurricane improved to 18-8 on the season and 6-2 in The American. Earlier in the week, TU defeated Iowa State 5-1, making the Hurricane 1-1 this season against Big XII opposition.
This will be the 58th meeting between the Cowgirls and Golden Hurricane with OSU leading the all-time series 35-22. Tulsa is 12-11 at home but has dropped eight straight in the overall series.
Rosie Davis leads the Cowgirls with a .417 batting average, is third on the team with 30 hits and ranks tied for second with six doubles. Caroline Wang has hit a team-leading seven home runs and driven in 21, while Karli Goodwin tops the RBI charts with 24 this season, boosted by six homers. The Cowgirls have two pitchers with ERAs below 1.00 in Ivy Rosenberry (0.82) and Lexi Kilfoyl (0.98). OSU pitchers have struck out 144 batters this season.
Central Arkansas and Tulsa meet for the 12th time on Wednesday. Tulsa holds a 7-4 advantage and 6-1 at home.
Kylie Griffin's .367 batting average paces the Bears lineup. She has a team-high 29 hits. Morgan Nelson has done most of the damage on the scoreboard, driving in 24 of the team's 67 runs. The next closest has 11 RBIs. She's doubled seven times and homered twice. As a team, UCA has three homers. In the circle, Bailie Runner and Julia Petty have seen most the action, tossing 82.0 and 70.0 innings, respectively. Runner has recorded a 5.12 ERA, while Petty is sitting at 5.80.
As a team, the Hurricane is batting .337 heading into the week, which ranks second in the conference and 15th in the country. Leading the charge is senior left fielder MacKenzie Denson, who is batting .449 through Tulsa's first 26 games, which is the 30th best batting average in the NCAA. Imani Edwards is also batting .400 on the dot and is in a three-player tie for first on the team with 20 RBIs, joining junior third baseman Claira Skaggs and senior center fielder Haley Morgan.
Right fielder Kailyn Bearpaw picked up conference weekly honor roll recognition for her week against Iowa State and South Florida, hitting her third home run of the season and driving in three, including Tulsa's only two RBIs in its 3-0 win on Saturday.
