Women's Soccer Places Six on CSC Academic All-District Team

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa women's soccer team landed six student-athletes on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognizing outstanding performances on the field and in the classroom. Honorees include Ady Bechtel, Aniya Facen, Kaleigh Hart, Brenna Rowlett, Tatum Sanders, and Blaine Schutte.
The CSC Academic All-District award celebrates student-athletes who excel academically while making major athletic contributions to their programs.
Tulsa Honorees
Ady Bechtel - Midfielder
Sophmore Ady Bechtel ranked among the best distributors in the American Conference this season, sitting seventh in total assists (7) and ninth in assists per game (0.35). She scored the game-winning goal at Temple and provided key assists against SFA, Oklahoma and Kansas City. A two-year letterwinner, Bechtel has totaled three goals and 11 assists for 17 career points and is a previous American Offensive Player of the Week selection.
Aniya Facen - Forward
Aniya Facen, the sophomore, as a member of the American Preseason Watch List, produced a goal against Southern Nazarene and an assist on the game-winner vs. Kansas City. In her career, Facen has tallied four goals and seven assists across 37 appearances and was named to the 2024 American All-Freshman Team. Academically, she is a one-time American All-Academic Team honoree.
Kaleigh Hart - Forward
Sophomore Kaleigh Hart contributed offensively with five shots on target this season, scoring against Temple and assisting the equalizer vs. Little Rock. She has 11 career points on four goals and three assists and is a previous American Weekly Honorable Mention. Hart is also a member of the 2024 American All-Academic Team.
Brenna Rowlett - Midfielder
Brenna Rowlett, a junior, appeared in all 19 contests with 17 starts, adding an assist against Temple while helping anchor the midfield. She has played in 36 career matches with 29 starts. In the classroom, she is a two-time American All-Academic Team selection.
Tatum Sanders - Goalkeeper
Senior Tatum Sanders continued her historic career by breaking the Tulsa program record for career saves, now totaling 307 after a 2025 season that included 89 saves and three shutouts. A two-time American Goalkeeper of the Week and one-time honorable mention this year, Sanders ranks seventh in school history in shutouts (13). She is a previous CSC Academic All-District selection (2024) and a two-time American All-Academic Team honoree.
Blaine Schutte - Forward
Sophomore Blaine Schutte was one of the greatest attacking threats in the American this season, ranking fifth in the league in goals (9), points (20) and goals per game (0.45). She notched two game-winners, including the opener at UAB, and earned 2025 American All-Conference Second Team honors. Schutte has 18 career goals and four assists, including a hat trick during the 2024 season, and was named to both the 2024 American All-Freshman and All-Academic Teams.
