
Green Earns Second American Conference Player of the Week Honors

IRVING, Texas — After back-to-back huge games, David Green was named the American Conference Player of the Week the league announced on Monday. Green is the first player to win the award twice this season.
Green had a monster week as Tulsa picked up a pair of road wins by a margin of 17.0. The graduate student averaged 23.5 points on an efficient 20-of-30 (.667) shooting from the field and 5-of-7 (.714) from three-point range, also grabbing 4.5 rebounds and dishing out 3.0 assists.
Green opened the week with a 21-point performance in an 86-74 win, going 8-for-13 from the field and 3-for-3 from three. He followed that with a game-high 26 points on 12-of-17 shooting, with a pair of made threes at UAB, leading the Golden Hurricane to their first-ever win in Birmingham by a score of 99-77. He also added seven boards and three assists as Tulsa scored the second-most points ever by a visitor in Bartow Arena.
Tulsa is back in the Reynolds Center to host Memphis at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
