
2026 Tulsa Football Schedule Unveiled

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa football program will open the 2026 season at H.A. Chapman Stadium on Sept. 5 against the Cowboys of Oklahoma State University as part of a home schedule that features six home games, including four American Conference games.

Last season, Tulsa came out of Stillwater with a 19-13 victory over Oklahoma State. This was the first win in Stillwater for TU since 1951. On Sept. 12, Tulsa travels to Huntsville, Texas to face Sam Houston. The Bearkats and Golden Hurricane have met one other time in program history. They played on Sept. 26, 2009, in Tulsa. TU came away with a 56-3 victory.
Tulsa returns home on Sept. 19 when they host East Texas A&M. This will be the first meeting between these two programs. Tulsa hits the road for its final non-conference game on Sept. 26 when they head east to Fayetteville, Arkansas to face the University of Arkansas. This will be the first meeting since 2018 between these two programs.
The Golden Hurricane opens American Conference play at home on Thursday, Oct. 1 when they host North Texas at H.A. Chapman Stadium. The last time TU and UNT met in Tulsa was during the 2023 season.
Following the conference opener for TU, Tulsa hits the road for two straight games. First, Tulsa heads to Annapolis to take on Navy. This will be Tulsa's first trip to Navy since the 2022 season. The next week, the Golden Hurricane travel to Houston to take on Rice. Tulsa holds a 9-1 series advantage over Rice. This will mark the first time the Owls and Golden Hurricane have met since 2023.
Tulsa returns home to take on Army on Friday, Oct. 23 at H.A. Chapman Stadium. Last season, TU traveled to West Point and came back from 11 points down in the fourth quarter to beat Army, 26-25 at Michie Stadium. Following the Army contest, Tulsa has its open week. TU heads to The Big Easy to open November with a matchup against Tulane.
The Golden Hurricane return home for back-to-back home games to close the home portion of their schedule. The two-game homestand starts with a matchup against Florida Atlantic on Saturday, Nov. 14. The following week, Tulsa hosts Charlotte for the second meeting between these two programs. They haven't played each other since 2023.
Tulsa is also a part of a flexible Week 14 schedule to close the regular season. The Tulsa-UTSA game will be played either Friday, Nov. 27 or Saturday Nov. 28. The selection will be made by Oct. 11.
The American Conference Football Championship, which has been broadcast on ABC in each of the last 11 years, is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5.
Kickoff times and television designations for the first three weeks of the season, as well as the season-long weeknight games, will be finalized by June 1. The rest of the schedule will fall under the customary 12-day and six-day selection processes. All dates announced today are subject to change.
