Moore Named American Conference Pitcher of the Week, Moses Earns Honorable Mention

TULSA, Okla. — Coming off a dominating performance to earn an American Conference series win, Maura Moore was named the league's Pitcher of the Week. Teammate Daeya Moses was named a league honorable mention after a strong weekend with the bat.
Moore shut down the South Florida offense on Saturday and Sunday, holding the Bulls to just 1 earned run over 12.0 innings in the circle. The grad student handed USF its first two losses of conference play while striking out eight. In Saturday's 15-0 win, Moore allowed just two hits in 5.0 innings.
Moses led the Golden Hurricane at the plate, hitting .500 for the weekend (5-for-10) with a pair of home runs and drove in a team-high five runs. The junior scored four times to lead the team and finished the weekend with a 1.100 slugging percentage while Tulsa slugged .675 as a team.
Tulsa hosts Oklahoma State on Wednesday with a 5 p.m. first pitch.
