2026 American Conference Football Kickoff Set For St. Petersburg

IRVING, Texas – The University of Tulsa football program will take part in the 2026 American Conference Football Kickoff and Media Days on July 23-24 at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The two-day event will bring together all 14 American Conference football programs for media interviews, content creation and fan engagement activities leading into the 2026 season. Tulsa head coach Tre Lamb and select Golden Hurricane student-athletes will represent The University of Tulsa at the conference's annual preseason event.
Media availability will begin on Thursday, July 23, and continue through Friday, July 24. Friday's schedule will feature opening remarks from American Conference Commissioner Tim Pernetti, followed by head coach press conferences with all 14 league programs.
ESPN+ will provide live coverage of Friday's events.
For the first time, the American Conference Football Kickoff will be hosted in St. Petersburg, giving fans enhanced access to coaches and student-athletes through press conferences, meet-and-greet opportunities and interactive experiences throughout the event.
Additional details, including the full event schedule and participating student-athletes, will be announced by the conference in early July.
