As a guard for the Golden Hurricane, Marvin Matuszak became the first TU player to earn All-America honors in two consecutive seasons … was named to the Associated Press All-America teams in 1951 and 1952 … was co-captain of the 1952 Gator Bowl team, and was twice selected to the All-Missouri Valley Conference team … went on to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons … had his jersey No. 64 retired.
