A tremendous breakaway runner and pass receiver, Billy Boehm became the first player to score a touchdown in Skelly Stadium … he scored on the first play from scrimmage in a 26-6 victory over Arkansas on October 4, 1930 at the new stadium … a ‘rabbit’ back whose speed made him a threat from anywhere on the field … he once scored three touchdowns in a span of four minutes in an 89-0 win over Mexico National University in 1931 … led Tulsa to a 28-9-2 record in his four seasons … was selected to the All-Oklahoma teams of 1931 and 1932.
