An outstanding halfback, Jeff Jordan excelled on both offense and defense … was a two-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection in the 1963 and 1964 seasons … set the record at the time for the longest scoring pass play in Golden Hurricane history with a 98-yard reception from Jerry Rhome against Wichita State in 1963 … also established the school record for the longest interception return with a 97-yard return against Memphis State in 1963 … captained the Tulsa team that defeated Mississippi in the 1965 Bluebonnet Bowl … went on to play professional football for the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings.
