Rick Park was a swift and agile guard who was an All-Missouri Valley Conference selection in 1964 and '65 … he was an accurate shooter who connected on over 50-percent of his field goals during his career … led the team in scoring as a senior with an 18.4 average … led the nation with a .903 free throw percentage as a junior and connected on 88-percent of his free throws a year later … as a junior, he also ranked 12th nationally in field goal percentage, making .573 of his shots … set school records for most free throws made in a game (23 vs. Arkansas in 1964) and career free throw percentage (.889) … was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in 1965.
