As a defensive back, Drane Scrivener was effective against both the pass and run … played tailback his sophomore year and rushed for 103 yards, but moved to the defensive secondary as a junior … was team co-captain his senior season, and received All-Missouri Valley Conference honors in 1972 … was selected to the National Enterprise Association (NEA) first-team All-America squad and was honored as the Team MVP in 1972 … was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys.
