Considered one of Oklahoma?s greatest tennis players. Won the Missouri Valley singles championship three straight years. In 1937, he won the Tulsa, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, and Kansas State singles tournaments. In 1938, he advanced to the singles finals of the National Intercollegiate Tennis Championship.
