Office of Academic and Student Services (OASiS)
Mission Statement: The Office of Academic and Student Services (OASIS) aims to promote student-athlete academic achievement, community responsibility, and personal accountability.
Philosophy: The purpose of the Office of Academic and Student Services is to offer academic and personal support for student-athletes. All programs and services are designed to enhance the experience of the student-athlete in the academic, athletic, and campus communities.
Location: Kendall Hall (West Wing)
Hours of Operation:

| Friday | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm |
| Sunday | 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm |
SERVICES OFFERED
Success Coaching: Staff member that oversees sports, checks in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly with student-athletes. Monitors at-risk student athletes and makes sure they maintain eligibility requirements.
Assessments: Provide assessments to all student-athletes
in vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing skills.
Study Hall: Quiet, supervised environment that offers structure and
support for productive learning.
Tutors: Provide course specific assistance beyond the classroom.
Mentors: Development of life skills such as time management,
organization and positive study habits.
Summer Bridge: Assists new student-athletes with their transition
to college.
HAAS (Hurricane Athletes Achieving Success): HAAS is a ten to twelve-week orientation program specifically designed to help student-athletes adjust to life at The University of Tulsa. The combination of lectures, guest speakers, and group discussions are designed to provide an ongoing orientation to campus resources, academic skills, and social issues important to the academic, athletic, and social success of student-athletes at TU. HAAS is a non-credit seminar, REQUIRED for all TU freshmen student-athletes.
Supplemental Instruction: Reinforces material covered by professors in class-specific, staff led workshops.

Class Attendance Policy
All student-athletes are required to attend all classes, unless excused
due to travel. This policy is enforced throughout all semesters. Failure
to attend classes may result in suspension from practice, competition,
or the loss/reduction of athletic grant-in-aid scholarship.
