- Cam Haney was hired as the cornerbacks Coach at TU in January 2026.
- Haney joins the TU staff after spending the 2025 season at Indiana University.
- At Indiana, he was a Defensive Quality Control Coach that helped the Hoosiers win the NCAA National Championship, the first football championship in program history.
- Indiana had 19 interceptions on the season and had 50 pass breakups as a defensive unit.
- Prior to Indiana, Haney spent one season as a member of ETSU's coaching staff in 2024.
- As the defensive backs coach at ETSU, Haney guided the Bucs to five interceptions and 49 pass breakups. Cam Sims led the team with 17 pass breakups during the 2024 season.
- Haney went to the Bucs after spending three seasons at Murray State.Â
- During his time with the Racers, Haney coached the team's cornerbacks in 2023, which also was his first season as a full-time coach.
- Haney spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons as a defensive graduate assistant for Murray State.
- Haney's defensive backs accounted for 14 interceptions and nearly 80 pass breakups since 2021.Â
- As a player, Haney played collegiately at Utah State.
- He broke up 28 passes, two forced fumbles and 110 tackles in his collegiate career.
- In prep football, was a CIF All-State honor winner as a senior at Cathedral High School.
- Haney is originally from Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Utah State in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in communications.
- Haney also earned his master's degree from Murray State in 2023.Â
