Cannon Montgomery moved into a graduate assistant coaching position in 2022 following five seasons as a member of the Tulsa football team.

Montgomery was a four-year letterwinner and played in 46 career games for the Golden Hurricane. He played receiver and was the holder on all placements for all 46 of those games. Montgomery caught seven passes for 126 yards and one touchdown in his career.

As a senior, Montgomery totaled four receptions for 113 yards and one TD. His touchdown was a 21-yard catch against No. 9-ranked Ohio State, making the score 20-13.

Montgomery earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise & sports since in May 2021 and is continuing to work on his master’s degree in business. A native of Stephenville, Texas, Montgomery is the son of Tulsa head coach Philip Montgomery.
