Katie Newton joined The University of Tulsa football staff in August 2021 as the director of football video services.
 
Newton came to Tulsa following a seven-month stint with Louisiana-Monroe football, where she served as the director of football video services. Previously, Newton was on the football video staff of the 2020 BCS Runner-up Clemson Tigers as a graduate intern. Before that, Newton was a graduate assistant of football video at Memphis during the 2019 season. She served as a student video assistant at Arkansas from 2017-19.
 
Newton earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Arkansas in 2019. She also received a sports commerce master’s degree from Memphis and her athletic leadership master’s degree from Clemson.
