A member of Tulsa's breakthrough teams of the early 1940’s, N.A. Keithley was known as one of the school’s greatest broken field runners ever … led the Golden Hurricane in rushing during his final two seasons, gaining 297 yards in 1941, and 497 yards in the 1942 season … played on two Bowl teams, the Sun Bowl and Sugar Bowl … earned first-team all-Missouri Valley Conference honors in his final two seasons … rushed for an average of 5.2 yards per carry in 1942 … was a member of teams that compiled a three-year record of 25-6 … his performance in a 23-0 win over Oklahoma in 1942 was one to remember, when he completed 11-of-17 passes for 186 yards, rushed for 35 yards, returned one punt for 11 yards, one kickoff for 23 yards and punted once for 36 yards. … was an honorable mention selection to the All-Time University of Tulsa Football Team by the Tulsa World in 1945.
