Al Jenkins was an outstanding pass rusher whose speed and quickness overwhelmed the opposition, making him one of Tulsa’s greatest defensive linemen of all-time … moved from offensive line to defensive end after his sophomore season … was named Lineman of the Week by the Associated Press for a 22-tackle performance in an upset victory over 10th-ranked Houston in 1968 … went on to play with the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins … was a member of the 1972 Miami Dolphins Super Bowl team.
