Bill Hall was a powerful serve and volley player, but equally strong ground strokes … played three years as the No. 1 player and captained the undefeated 1954 Hurricane tennis team … over the years, he went on to win six city championships and four state titles … in 1990, he was the runner-up in the National Public Parks Championship for players over 60.
