Bob Junko was an all-Missouri Valley Conference first team selection in 1966 and 1967 … played linebacker for Tulsa and led the Hurricane with an average of 12.7 tackles his junior season … had 101 tackles and 11 pass breakups in 1966 as a junior … in 1966, his top tackle games came against Cincinnati with 20 and 16 against Wichita State … as a senior he led a Tulsa defense that was second in the MVC in rushing defense allowing just 84.7 yards and third in total defense allowing 242.3 yards … was one of the finest linebackers in the Midwest… as a sophomore in 1965, he totaled 22 tackles in the final game of the season against Colorado State.
