An outstanding ball carrier and ferocious blocker, Camp Wilson played on three of Tulsa’s bowl teams, including the Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl and Oil Bowl … was an All-Missouri Valley Conference selection in 1945 … rushed for 1,589 yards, averaging 5.6 yards per carry in his three seasons … led the Golden Hurricane in rushing in 1944 and 1945 … had a career long 89-yard touchdown run against Southwest Texas State his junior year … was selected to the All-Orange Bowl team for the game’s first 50 years.
