A goalkeeper … made an immediate impact as a freshman by posting a 1.22-goals against average (GAA) with 64 saves in 20 games enroute to earning all-Midwest region honors … completed his career with 283 saves, 21 shutouts and a 1.09 goals against average... established the school record for most saves in a game (17 vs. SMU, 1984) and single-season shutouts (9) … went on to an outstanding coaching career, spending the last 31 seasons (before 2024) as the Texas A&M women’s coach, winning 500+ games, 10 regular season conference titles, eight conference tournament crowns, 16 NCAA Sweet Sixteen’s, seven Elite Eights and the 2014 NCAA Women’s College Cup.
