Jeb Blount quarterbacked Tulsa’s 1974 and 1975 Missouri Valley Conference Championship teams while earning Associated Press Honorable Mention All-America merits both seasons. He completed his collegiate career with 4,343 passing yards and 35 touchdowns. He was a two-time all-MVC selection and was also named the 1974 MVC Offensive Player of the Year. Blount ranked eighth nationally for passing in 1974 when he threw for 1,831 yards and 15 touchdowns while leading Tulsa to an 8-3 record and final UPI national ranking of No. 19. As a senior, Blount threw for 1,663 yards and 13 TDs en route to leading Tulsa to a 7-4 mark. He was named to the 1976 College All-Star Team that faced the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers in the final College All-Star Game. Blount was a second-round draft pick by the Oakland Raiders in 1976 and a member of their Super Bowl XI Championship team.
