An outstanding tackle who was an agile blocker, Kaye Vaughan played on the 1952 Gator Bowl squad … during his time at Tulsa, the Golden Hurricane went 26-5-2 and won two Missouri Valley Conference titles … he went on to play 12 seasons for the Ottawa Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League … was selected to the Eastern Conference All-Star team in the CFL 10 times … won the Schenley Award as Canada's outstanding lineman in 1956 and ’57 … was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1978.
