A powerful, yet elusive running back who was proficient as a blocker, Ken Lacy made up the other half of Tulsa's famed "Palomino Express” … he and teammate Michael Gunter comprised one of only two college backfield combinations to each rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season, both coming in 1982 … rushed for 1,097 yards in 1982 for a 5.5 average per carry, while helping Tulsa compile a 10-1 record … was a two-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection … had career statistics of 2,272 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns.
