Neil Ridley was an outstanding athlete who lettered in football, but starred on the basketball team … remembered as one of Tulsa's most aggressive competitors … despite standing only 5'8", he was a solid rebounder and excellent scorer … was the top playmaker and led the Golden Hurricane in scoring for three seasons … scored 944 career points for an average of 9.7 points per game … was an All-Missouri Valley Conference and honorable mention All-America performer in 1949-50 … earned NABC All-District honorable mention merits as a senior.
