Nelson Greene was a two-way player who excelled on both sides of the ball … played on the 1942 team before spending three years in the Marines … upon his return, he logged 270 minutes in 10 games for the 1946 team that finished with a 9-1 record … was a devastating tackler on defense who was as equally strong at offensive tackle … was a two-time selection to the All-Missouri Valley Conference team in 1946 and ‘47.
