A three-year letterwinner and two-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection, Roger Wendel was an outstanding guard for the Golden Hurricane … earned honorable mention All-America accolades, while leading Tulsa in scoring his final two seasons with 17.5 and 18.8 averages … was the team leader in free throw percentage during his final two seasons as well … was voted team captain as a senior … had one game in which he scored all of Tulsa's points in the first eight minutes of the game for a 19-18 lead vs. St. Louis. Completed his career with 1,121 career points.
