Roy Stuart was an outstanding guard who played both offense and defense for the Golden Hurricane … possessed the speed, quickness and agility to become a tremendous player … was a three-year varsity member and two-year starter, he played on Tulsa’s first bowl team, the 1941 Sun Bowl Champion and was voted the game’s most outstanding lineman … was selected to The University of Tulsa’s All-Fifty Year Golden Hurricane football team in 1945.
