A superb offensive tackle who combined strength with agility, Sid Abramowitz was twice selected to the all-Missouri Valley Conference team … was an honorable mention Associated Press All-America selection as a junior and earned third-team All-America merits in his senior season … helped lead Tulsa to a 10-1 record in 1982 … played in Blue-Gray, Senior Bowl and East-West Shrine Bowl games his senior year … was chosen by the Baltimore Colts in the fifth round of the 1983 NFL draft.
