Steve Harris was a second team All-America pick by United Press International and a third-team All-America selection by the Basketball Times as a senior … became Tulsa's all-time leading scorer by tallying 2,272 career points … earned All-Missouri Valley Conference honors three times and led Tulsa in scoring in his final three seasons … led Tulsa to three NCAA tournament appearances … scored an average of 18.6 points during his career while compiling a .548 field goal percentage and a .847 free throw percentage … scored in double figures in 109 of 122 games, and scored over 20 points in 53 games and more than 30 points nine times … was voted as the MVC Newcomer of the Year in 1981-82 … was a first round draft choice of the Houston Rockets in the 1985 NBA draft.
