Was an all-Missouri Valley Conference offensive guard in 1974 and 1975 … missed the 1973 season with an injury, but came back strong in 1974 to anchor a tough offensive front … was named Tulsa’s Best Blocking Lineman in 1974 … Was invited to play in the 16th Annual All-America Football Game and played in the East-West Game in Stanford, California, following his senior season. Was selected in the third round of the 1976 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings, and played nine seasons.
