Rogers Lehew as a four-year letterwinner in football and lettered three times in baseball … was an outstanding guard and only one of two players to make the varsity football team as a true freshman in 1946, helping that team post a 9-1 record … served as team captain in 1949 and helped lead Tulsa to one of the school’s biggest upsets with a win over Villanova … named Tulsa’s Outstanding Lineman for the 1949 season … returned to Tulsa as an assistant football coach and head baseball coach for two seasons, posting 28 victories … later served as general manager for the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders and was vice-president and assistant general manager for the Detroit Lions.
